Mr. Anil Chaudhry is the Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Company since March 2011. Mr. Chaudhry is the Zone President, International Operations, Schneider Electric, India.

Education

Mr. Chaudhry is an engineering graduate from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. He further pursued an Executive Management Program from Harvard Business School and Stanford Business School and INSEAD.

Experience and Achievements:

Mr. Chaudhry has nearly 30 years of global experience in energy and Infrastructure sector and by holding leadership positions in management, operations, sales, strategy and business development.

Mr. Chaudhry champions the cause of energy efficient and green technologies and has done substantial amount of work, for French business interests worldwide with a focus on infrastructure development, sustainability & climate change, access to energy and skill development. He is determined to set new benchmarks for the usage of innovative techniques to provide world class solutions & services to customers. He is extremely passionate about promoting diversity & inclusion and is also member of Women Advisory Board at Schneider Electric.

In July 2015, Mr. Chaudhry was conferred the highest French civilian distinction – Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur (Knight of the Legion of Honour) by President of Republic of France recognizing his significant contributions towards strengthening Indo-French economic relations.

He has published and presented numerous Technical and concept Papers at various national and international seminars for application of Digital Technology, Automation & IoT for Energy Management and Efficiency for Smart Infrastructure and Smart Cities. Mr. Chaudhry has recently been appointed as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric India Private Limited, flagship company of Schneider Electric. He has lead the acquisition project combining of Schneider Electric India’s Low Voltage and Industry Automation business with L&Ts Electrical and Automation business.

Mr. Deepak Sharma has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of the Company effective June 2023. Mr. Sharma is the Zone President, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Schneider Electric India. He has been associated with Schneider Electric Group handling diverse roles since last ~ 25 years.

Education:
Mr. Sharma holds graduate, postgraduate degrees and diplomas in Management & Electrical Engineering and is successfully trained through executive education programs of IIM-Ahmedabad, INSEAD France and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, USA.

Experience and Achievements:
Mr. Sharma has ~ 30 years experience in handling diverse roles based out of India, France, China, and the USA across Energy Management & Industrial Automation businesses. In his previous role, Deepak led the integration of L&T Electrical and Automation Business with Schneider Electric, as SVP, Mergers & Acquisition. This integration was a key enabler in making India the 3rd largest market and one of the four global hubs of Schneider Electric with ~ 37,000 employees and 30+ factories in the country.

Mr. Udai Singh has been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on the Board of the Company with effect from September 15, 2023. Mr. Singh joined L&T in Electrical & Automation (E&A) Business as a GET in 1991 and E&A business was acquired by Schneider Electric India Private Limited, sister concern of the Company in August 2020.

Education:

Mr. Udai Singh holds a bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi and has undertaken various leadership programs at Ross Business School & INSEAD.

Experience and Achievements:

Over the last 30+ years, Mr. Singh has held various roles in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Projects & Contract Management, and Manufacturing operations. Prior to his current role as Electrical Systems Equipment (ESE) - BU VP, Mr. Singh was heading Sales & After Sales for India, SAARC & MEA along with key account management.

Mr. Singh is a well-known professional in the industry. Currently, Mr. Singh has a seat in the Switchgear MV/HV Committee of IEEMA (Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association) as Chairman.

Ms. Namrata Kaul is the Independent Non-Executive Chairperson on the Board of the Company. Ms. Kaul was appointed as an Independent Director in November 2019.

Education

Ms. Namrata is a Chevening scholar from the London School of Economics, she holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, and is a Management Postgraduate from IIM Ahmedabad.

Experience and Achievements:

Ms. Kaul is a career banker with extensive experience of over 32 years across Treasury, Corporate Banking, Debt Capital markets and Corporate finance in India and UK. As Managing Director at Deutsche Bank AG she led the Corporate Bank practice as its India head. Ms. Kaul was a member of the Deutsche Bank Asia Executive Committee, a Member of the Board of Deutsche Bank India, and a founding member of the Deutsche Bank Diversity Council.

She is also an Investor and mentor at PadUp Ventures, a start-up incubator offering advisory services to early stage tech and digital companies in India and helping them grow successfully to the next level. Actively engaged in the Social Development sector, Ms. Kaul is Vice Chair of the Supervisory Board of Care International (Geneva), a leading international humanitarian organization engaged in fighting global poverty.

Mr. Pravin K Purang is the Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company effective from May 21, 2022.

Education

Mr. Purang holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in industrial engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.

Experience and Achievements:

Mr. Purang is a competency assessment expert in the corporate sector and has assessed more than 500 senior professionals in India and abroad (in companies viz. Vedanta, Tisco Mahindra & Mahindra, John Keel company, Brandix, Hamas).

Mr. Purang has been the Managing Director of Royal Enfield Motors and Eicher Limited and has also been a Director on Board of Eicher Consultancy Services. He has contributed to the development of SMEs, while enhancing the Indian Industries Global Competitive Positioning.

Mr. Purang had been the Management Advisor to Jindal steel & Power Ltd for over 10 years and was also Heading group Procurement of the company. Apart from leading a very successful career in the Corporate sector, Mr. Purang has been actively associated with academics for more than 35 years, starting his teaching pursuit as visiting faculty to University of Bombay teaching postgraduate classes in Management subjects. Mr. Purang has been the Chancellor of OPJIT Engineering College.

Mr. Purang has also written and contributed a section in The General Studies Manual for the UPSC Civil Services examination, on “General Mental Ability”, published by Tata McGraw Hill publications. He did Thesis on “Inventory Control of items having erratic Demand Pattern” for Indian Airlines –spare parts of aircrafts which was accepted for presentation in “World Congress on Productivity Sciences” and was later published.

Amongst many other awards and recognitions, Mr. Purang has been conferred the Excellence Award for Outstanding Contribution to Procurement & SCM Function at the Annual Event, National Convention 2015, Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM). The Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi Alumni Association has conferred on him its prestigious “Outstanding Contribution Award” in the Category of “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Technology and Corporate Governance” for the year 2019.”
